Medivet is a leading UK veterinary care provider, with more than 500 branches and 27 state of the art 24h centres. Medivet’s ambition is to be a leading player in Europe and to be the first choice for pet owners and veterinary professionals.
Supporting Medivet’s growth period
The company has experienced rapid growth in recent years, both organic and through acquisition of new clinics. To support this growth, the business is going through a huge tech transformation and has made significant investments in new systems, infrastructure, people and in its practice estate, to ensure all teams have access to the very best technology, information and support to continue to deliver exceptional care for their pets and clients.
Building specialist teams
Our recruitment consultants have worked on two specialist team builds at Medivet – the Reward team and the Employer Branding team.
We partnered with Tony, Head of Reward, in his second month with Medivet. His aim was to build out the underneath him, supporting the full build out of the Reward Team. We were asked to add two heads to the team to fill a skills-gap. The roles he was looking for included a Reward Analyst and a Reward Manager.
Our recruiters also partnered with Jey Sharman, Employer Branding Manager, to onboard a completely new role for the business. This person was to take over recruitment analytics, as well as be responsible for employer branding.
How we sourced new roles for Medivet
With these being brand new roles in the organisation, our recruitment consultants really had to start from scratch.
The team first started by identifying a realistic team structure. They achieved this by leveraging their up-to-date market insight, as well as expertise from previous team buildouts. In doing this, they were also able to identify the ideal profiles for the roles, agreeing on title, skills, qualifications and desired candidate experience.
Once the team had agreed on the parameters and timelines for each hire, they took the roles to market. Our recruiters used our tech stack to source, engage and hire two Reward Analysts, and a Recruitment Analyst hired within four-weeks. The Employer Branding/Recruitment Marketing Lead was filled by our sister business, 3Search.
